RON ARMSTRONG - GEORGIAN WOODS GROUP
Ron has served the Board and the Association in the capacity of 2nd Vice President, Builder Director and currently site on the Board as a Presidential Appointee. Ron brings the voice of experience to issues and situations and provides expertise in the area of Government lobbying, land development, and Association Governing policies. Ron is a dependable and invaluable member of our Team. It was his suggestion, with an eye to the future of the GBHBA, that he step down from the position of 2nd VP and allow a younger Builder to take his place. He has also moved along side of this new Board member to mentor and assist him in the areas of the forming of a Builder Council and Municipal Liaison. Ron's giftedness extends beyond our local level to the Provincial level where he is an important part of the Land Development committee at the Ontario Home Builders Association. Ron's commitment to the GBHBA and his support of our Board, and staff makes him an ideal candidate for this award.
BRUCE BOLDUC - CONSTRUCTION WORKPLACE SAFETY TRAINING LTD.
Bruce heads up our Health & Safety Committee, is an active Board Members, volunteers wherever and whenever needed. (Santa Claus Parade Float, Home Show staffing, Golf Tournament Committee to name just a few.) In addition to his own thriving business, Bruce's expertise in the area of Health & Safety has been utilized by the Ontario Home Builders Association and he sits on their Health & Safety Committee which makes recommendations to provincial Government regarding pertinent issues. This serves the Greater Barrie Home Builders Association as well because Bruce is our "direct line" to what's coming down the pipe affecting our Members and allowing them to ask questions and better prepare. Bruce is a pleasure to work with. He is energetic, positive, more-than-capable, and enthusiastic about the professionalism of our Association. He provides ideas for consideration which other's haven't thought of and works diligently with other Board Members and Members to carry out GBHBA initiatives. Probably the most impressive thing about Bruce is his willingness to pitch in - doing the most "unnoticeable, behind-the-scenes" work... just because he's needed! His integrity is above reproach and he serves his clients and his Association well!
